Mac-see

If you don't get the title, just say it over and over a few times

My last post was on a maxi skirt so naturally my next one should be the maxi dress. This trend is definitely booming- and I am in love. So effortless, so easy and so comfortable. (Then again, anything that requires not wearing pants is major for me haha) Now that it is officially summer you have no reason not to wear one!

Note: The Spruce Pine in the background almost looks like a painting
My best friend is trying his hand (or should I say body) at gymnastics- alors, this photo. It's kind of awkward but I like it. I definitely recommend everyone to try gymnastics or at least gymnastic workouts, especially if you have a bad back. Props to all gymnasts... that's hard work!

What I'm wearing:
Dress: Thrifted (H&M)
Sweater: F21 (2 years ago)
Shoes: Thrifted (Miu Miu)
Bag: Mama Haj
Check the bucket bag! It's made from camel hide (weird, right?). Mama Haj got it from her vaca in Saudi Arabia and it's completely on trend. The only downside is that it wreaks of chemical tan... so I smell like a camel bum everytime I take it out but it's worth it.

It's so easy to find unique pieces by rummaging through your mom/dad/brother/sister/cousin/dog/whoever's closet. I just want to emphasize that you do not necessarily need to buy new clothes to be trendy. It's light on your wallet and your ecological footprint on the environment. Win.

Till next time!

this one right here goes out to all the baby's mamas, mamas...

mama's mamas, baby's mama's mamas...

In celebration for Mama's day, I decided to wear a truly Mama Haj outfit. Inspired by her style and tweaked by mine, I used some of her clothing and accessories to create this look.

Staring contest with Buddha- he won.

What I'm wearing:
Top: Gap Body
Jacket: Gifted from Grade 8
Cream Maxi Accordion skirt: Closet de Mama Haj
Shoes: Thrifted

After wearing this skirt for the day, I am officially in love- the shape, the colour, the fit... it's so perfect. I highly suggest everyone invest in a maxi skirt even if you aren't feeling the pleated accordion style (or as my friend Pooey calls it: parachute skirt). It will be a summer must-have for those uncomfortable hot summer months. More importantly, it's super easy to find at your local thrift store.

Accessories:
Belt: Mama Haj
Bag: Mama Haj
Bunch of Silver Bangles: Booth in International Market
Cord Necklace (Worn as bracelet): Gap (RED) Collection
Chan Luu Inspired Leather Wrap bracelet: Banana Republic
Bulova Watch: Mama Haj
Ring: Gifted

This is just my personal homage to my Mama. I dare you to try it- you'd be surprised by how stylin' your mama can be.

Till next time!
